My work focuses on various aspects of the natural environment. As part of past projects, I decided to combine the natural environment with our ‘manmade’ surroundings, focusing particularly upon architecture and have continued to do so since. From the textural and patterned qualities of the natural forms, to the linear and structural designs inspired by architecture, I aim to integrate these aspects through the use of handprint techniques and three-dimensional structures through design work and samples, combining my specialism of handprint techniques and my love for working three-dimensionally. With combining these opposing elements together, my designs and samples are created with a lighting context in mind. As commissionable light pieces, my work is designed for larger public spaces such as lobbies, staircases, and hospitals etc. I continue to explore working two-dimensionally, designing patterns suitable for interiors as I enjoy exploring colour and materials. I enjoy the work I do and the pieces I create, so take a look and let me know what you think.
